BIOS Settings

There are some hardware control functions iIn BIOSes of modern mainboards, for example fan-speed and so on.

When switching on your PC you may get error messages that do not make any sense, if you don't switch of these functions. Like for example "CPU fan failed". After a BIOS reset or an upgrade of the BIOS these messages may re-apear.

You can easily correct these settings in the BIOS setup menu.
The recommended setting for various mainboards are available in this list.

To see the BIOS settings click on the corresponding mainboard.

After switching on your PC press "Entf." or "Del" during the boot-up process (on Siemens-Fujitsu-Mainboard "F2") and change the following settings shown below:
